Medical abortion
Medication rather than surgery, up to 9 weeks gestation.
- A two-stage process: an initial tablet blocks pregnancy hormones, followed 24 to 48 hours later by medication that expels the contents of the uterus.
- The practice states this is a low-risk non-surgical option for early termination, with a success rate up to 98%.

A bacterial infection spread from animals such as cattle, sheep and goats.
- The practice states vaccination is the most effective way to prevent infection.
- At-risk groups include abattoir workers, farmers, vets, shearers and laboratory workers.
