Skin checks

A dedicated skin cancer clinic inside the practice.

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in Australia. At least 2 in 3 Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer before they turn 70.

  • Early detection of skin cancer.

Low-dose CT lung cancer screening

Newly available at the practice.

  • Screening for lung cancer using low-dose CT imaging.

WhoCurrent or former smokers aged 50 to 80.

P-03

Medical abortion

Medication rather than surgery, up to 9 weeks gestation.

  • A two-stage process: an initial tablet blocks pregnancy hormones, followed 24 to 48 hours later by medication that expels the contents of the uterus.
  • The practice states this is a low-risk non-surgical option for early termination, with a success rate up to 98%.

WhoA telehealth option is available if you are under 63 days pregnant.

Cardiac and diabetic health assessments

A physical examination monitoring cardiac health and diabetes risk.

  • Recommended annually for ages 40 to 50, and for anyone over 75.

Q fever vaccination

A bacterial infection spread from animals such as cattle, sheep and goats.

  • The practice states vaccination is the most effective way to prevent infection.
  • At-risk groups include abattoir workers, farmers, vets, shearers and laboratory workers.

WhoPre-vaccination screening is required.
